FAQ Section Title

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions.

How do I schedule a service?

Use the contact form below to send me a message or reach out to me through my email or phone number. Please include your address so that I can get a better idea of your solar PV system.

cosolarcare@gmail.com

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured!

Why can't pigeon waste and debris be easily removed from a roof?

A pigeon can create 25 pounds of droppings annually. The droppings from a flock of pigeons with added moisture from rain/snow can easily add up to hundreds of pounds within months. If it has gotten to this point, then a uninstall and new roof if recommended as the build-up of droppings will have gotten too large to remove without disposing of the roofing material.

Due to the lack of trees to nest in, it is highly recommended to get critter guard in CO (and should honestly be required!) as soon as your system is installed.

Do you offer any other types of service?

If there's a service you need that isn't listed, please reach out—I may be able to assist. I'm always open to discussing additional solar-related services that could benefit your system!

I see lots of pricing by the foot. How big is a typical solar panel?

They are usually around 3.5ft x 5.5ft ± 1ft

How do I know if a component on my Solar Edge or Enphase system has failed?

If your system has monitoring capability, then usually you can find out through your monitoring portal. If you don't have monitoring or it is down, then you can tell by physically looking at your Solar Edge Inverter or Enphase Envoy.

Solar Edge

SE inverters use LED indicators. An error is indicated by a solid red light. A solid green light means everything is functional.

Enphase

On your Enphase envoy (usually located in a white box by your meter) you will see 4 LED indicators. A solid red light on the lightning bolt or arrows indicator (2 lights on the right) means an error with the system. Solid or flashing green means everything is functional.

Can you monitor my Enphase or Solar Edge system?

Yes! If your install company is out of business or slow to respond let me know and I can transfer your monitoring from your old company to CO Solar Care. You will still be able to monitor your account, but if anything goes down an alert will be sent to my account. This will also help speed up the process if anything needs a warranty replacement.

Can you fulfill a warranty replacement for my system if my installer is out of business?

Yes! I will have to charge a service fee to replace the failed components, but there should be no charge for parts if they are still under warranty.

About

Why I Started Colorado Solar Care

Hi, I’m the owner of Colorado Solar Care, so far a one-man operation (yep, that’s me!). But don’t let that worry you—I’m deeply committed to providing top-notch solar services.

My journey in the solar industry began in 2016 after earning my bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Technology from Appalachian State University. Over the years, I’ve worked with several solar companies in North Carolina and Colorado, gaining valuable insights into both successful and failing companies.

One thing that stood out to me in the industry was the lack of attention given to servicing systems after installation. I often encountered situations where customers had to wait months for simple fixes. This issue arises because installation companies are focused on selling and installing new systems, which can push service requests to the back burner. Frustrated by this, I decided to do something about it and founded Colorado Solar Care.

With nearly 10 years of experience working with industry leaders like SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, SunPower, SMA, and more, I’m dedicated to providing reliable, timely, and high-quality service to keep your solar system running smoothly.

I’ve also created a few valuable contacts throughout the industry in Colorado, so rest assured, it won’t just be me if the job requires additional support.
